Tether Integrates USDT into the Bitcoin Ecosystem
Tether has announced the integration of its stablecoin, USDT, into the Bitcoin ecosystem, covering both its base layer and the Lightning Network. This integration is made possible through the Taproot Assets protocol developed by Lightning Labs. The collaboration aims to enhance transaction efficiency and foster innovation within the Bitcoin network. Currently, USDT operates on 17 blockchains, with Ethereum and Tron being the most prominent.
