In November, the platform promoted the function again and sparked the craze of “live streaming with memes”. Within a week, Pump’s live broadcast began to get out of control.
The platform’s ineffective content review led podcasters to engage in extreme behaviors to attract attention, even posing direct physical threats to others. This led to legal and regulatory risks for the Solana ecosystem’s killer application. On November 26th, Pumpfun announced that it would disable the live broadcast function.
