According to a recent Coinwire research report, as reported by BlockBeats news, 76% of cryptocurrency KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) on the X platform have promoted Meme coins that have now returned to zero. Two-thirds of these tokens have lost all of their value. Out of the 377 KOLs surveyed, only 1% of the Meme coins they promoted achieved tenfold growth.
The study found that within a week, 80% of the promoted Meme coins fell by 70%, while 90% lost 80% of their value after a month, and 86% plummeted by more than 90% after three months. KOLs with over 200,000 followers had the worst promotion results. Their promoted projects lost an average of 39% after a week, and this loss expanded to 89% after three months.
On the other hand, small account promotion projects with less than 50,000 followers achieved an average of 141% positive returns after three months. (Bitcoin.comNews)
