In a recent post, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong expressed his concerns about the effect of government spending on elections. He suggested that there should be a constitutional amendment to limit total government spending to 10%, or find a way to align incentives so that members of Congress who vote for an unbalanced budget become ineligible for re-election.
This is to prevent politicians from winning elections by promising more free stuff and create a more balanced budget.
