A large $SOL investor recently offloaded 100,000 SOL at an average price of $170 within the last 15 hours, securing approximately 17 million USDC in total. The sale followed a recent redemption of 143,700 $SOL from staking, which was completed just a day earlier.
Of this amount, 70,000 $SOL was sold directly on-chain, bringing in around 11.9 million USDC. The remaining 30,000 SOL was offloaded via an over-the-counter (OTC) deal with Wintermute, generating an additional 5.1 million USDC. Altogether, this strategic move by the whale averaged a selling price of $170 per SOL.
