Bitwise has filed for an XRP exchange-traded fund (ETF) with the State of Delaware’s Division of Corporations. Cointelegraph confirmed the filing with a Bitwise spokesperson. The ETF was incorporated on Sept. 30, 2024, with CSC Delaware Trust Company as the registered agent.

This move follows Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse's hint earlier this year about an inevitable XRP ETF, especially after Bitcoin and Ether ETFs launched in the U.S. An approved XRP ETF would let institutional investors access cryptocurrency through a regulated vehicle, potentially increasing liquidity and adoption.
