🚨 UK Man Pleads Guilty to Running Illegal Crypto ATMs 🚨
Olumide Osunkoya has become the first person in the UK to admit guilt for illegally operating cryptocurrency ATMs.
Between 2021 and 2023, he ran 11 unlicensed crypto ATMs, processing £2.6 million ($3.5M). Despite being denied registration by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Osunkoya expanded his network, placing machines in local shops without verifying customers.
The court also heard he used a fake identity, raising concerns about money laundering.
He faces multiple charges, potentially landing him up to 14 years in prison. This case highlights the FCA’s crackdown on illegal crypto operations.
