According to Foresight News, South Korean prosecutors have initiated an investigation into former lawmaker Kim Nam-guk. The investigation focuses on potential illegal cryptocurrency transactions conducted during his tenure as a member of parliament. Reports indicate that Kim Nam-guk allegedly held virtual currencies such as Wemix, Mabrex, and Bora, with a total value of approximately 6 billion KRW (around 4.48 million USD). This revelation has raised public concerns regarding the sources and uses of his investment funds.

The former lawmaker is also suspected of engaging in improper trading activities by utilizing undisclosed information obtained from the gaming industry. Allegations suggest that he profited by purchasing cryptocurrencies at low prices using this non-public information. The investigation aims to uncover the extent of these activities and determine whether any laws were violated during his time in office.
