Data: Nearly $1.5 billion in cryptocurrency will be unlocked in August.
According to ChainCatcher news, nearly $1.5 billion worth of cryptocurrency will be unlocked in August, with 1 billion XRP (valued at $609 million at the current price) to be unlocked on August 1st, accounting for a large portion of the total unlocked amount. Ripple has been unlocking 1 billion XRP on the first day of each month since 2017. The unlocked tokens are distributed evenly each month using two main wallets, Ripple (24) and Ripple (25).
