Odaily reports that nearly $1.5 billion worth of cryptocurrencies will be unlocked in August, with 1 billion XRP (worth $609 million at the current price) to be unlocked on August 1, accounting for a large portion of the total unlocked amount. Ripple has been unlocking 1 billion XRP on the first day of each month since 2017. It uses two main wallets, Ripple (24) and Ripple (25), to distribute the unlocked tokens on average each month.
