$2.8 billion Bitcoin transfer from MtGox:
Price drop MtGox exchange, which made a trial transfer with 0.021 BTC yesterday morning, made more than 42 thousand BTC transfers worth 2.85 billion dollars this morning. 37 thousand of these BTCs were sent to an unknown address, and 5 thousand were sent to another cold wallet of the exchange. Following the transfer, Bitcoin fell to $66,300. The US government also sent about $4 million worth of Bitcoin to Coinbase.
The MtGox exchange kicked off Tuesday morning with major Bitcoin transfers. While 37,477 Bitcoins were sent from the cold wallet of the exchange to an unknown address, 5100 BTCs were transferred to another cold wallet of MtGox. The total value of BTCs is worth approximately $2.85 billion.
Decline in Bitcoin
In the USA, Bitcoin, which exceeded 68 thousand dollars last night but fell again with Sunday evening, when President Joe Biden announced that he had withdrawn from the elections, fell below 67 thousand dollars with these transfers. In the minutes of writing the news, Bitcoin is trading around $66,300.
MtGox had 90 thousand Bitcoins left before the last distribution. Last week, more than 40 thousand BTC were sent to Kraken exchanges.
