The Challenge of Cross-Chain Communication

Blockchains were designed in a very independent manor operating as isolated ecosystem. This independence helps to ensure they are highly secure but it also creates a major limitation when it comes to communicating with other #blockchains . This means blockchains required external infrastructure to access or share data between each other but this opens the door to unwanted hacks or exploits.

Different blockchains have unique architectures, consensus mechanisms, and security measures in place. Fully decentralized blockchains need external infrastructure that does not compromise their security or their decentralized nature. Without a reliable solution, the full potential of blockchain technology, interconnected ecosystems, seamless asset movement and advanced cross-chain applications remains untapped.

Wanchains Cross-Chain Asset Bridge

Back in 2018 Wanchain noticed this need for external infrastructure to allow the communication and transfer of assets between these blockchains.
