Orion Protocol is a decentralized blockchain platform serving as a liquidity aggregator for decentralized and centralized exchanges. Orion Protocol was founded with the purported intent of supplying users with optimized rates for trading cryptocurrencies across multiple exchange platforms and markets.

Orion Protocol assembles liquidity from a wide range of exchanges to provide users with alleged optimized rates and fees for their trades. The protocol gathers liquidity from exchanges and converts it into a single API that determines the most efficient routes for users. Since Orion Protocol is built on order books, when an order is placed, the aggregator immediately scans for multiple routes until it finds the appropriate trading rates for users.

According to Orion Protocol, each transaction across the protocol's multiple solutions contributes to Daily Protocol Volume, resulting in potential rewards for stakers. To participate in the decentralized brokerage, brokers or liquidity providers who want to earn transaction fees for fulfilling orders from users must stake a minimum amount of ORN tokens.

Governance on the Orion Protocol is done through voting, enabling ORN token holders to vote on the amount of rewards ORN pools receive.
