Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to the question "What do you think of the pros and cons of MPC (EOA)-based wallets and smart contract wallets?" in his Twitter AMA. He said that MPC-based EOA wallets have fundamental flaws because they cannot revoke keys (re-sharing does not count, the old holder can still recover the key). Smart contract wallets are the only option.
