Terraform Labs are going to cease their operations after settling with SEC for $4.471 billion due to the UST collapse in 2022! As a consequence, LUNA's Labs will have to sell off their key projects and the LUNA's blockchain will now be totally managed and governed by its community. What will happen now? Basically, in term of governance, LUNA will be shifting into a decentralized model, where the community of token holders and stakeholders will have the authority to propose, vote and implement changes to the blockchain.
In my opinion, this is a good new because LUNA's Labs had too much control over the decision-making process! LUNA was overly centralized leading to the dramatic consequences we saw. Finally, with the end of Terraform Labs operations, the community is now on power. LUNA will now be more democratic/resilient and the decisions will be made collectively by the network’s participants!
