Ordinals.

Have you heard of ordinals? It's a groundbreaking Bitcoin protocol for direct blockchain data storage. Similar to NFTs in Ethereum and other chains, however, ordinals take a unique approach. The theory suggests that even Bitcoin's smallest unit, a sat, can store data on the blockchain indefinitely, paving the way for everlasting digital asset storage.

Ordinals has allowed new protocols to arise like (my fav!) the recursive ordinals: it enables permanent embedding of personal websites within the Bitcoin blockchain! This disruptive idea challenges industries relying on yearly domain payments, a lot is being done!
