Hello,

!! Alert !!

Scammers / phishing campaigns are everywhere and they improve this game every day:

If you don't want to read entire story, the main point is at the bottom.

Story:

Last year in august, i bought a malicious NFT (using a trading bot developed by me)

Bot saws the NFT listed for 0.98 ETH and the opportunity to make profit on a collection offer

After i saw the loss, i discussed with OpenSea support and provided proofs of the smart contract malicious code lanes, in order to freeze this NFT from marketplace. Anyway, it didn't stopped the scammers to create more collections. It was a harsh battle:

Me trying to stop scammers. Total estimated losses of OpenSea users ~46 ETH, while OpenSea generated fees of ~18 ETH from scammers wash trades - They seem really happy by taking this profit, even if OS had a huge fail by listing these collections on first page and took no credit for it - Of course, they also did not reimburse their affected users

After one year, i received some strange phone calls (from UK) and an e-mail related to this topic,

Someone acting as a HM Treasury representant, presenting himself as "Jonas Lewis" (Yeah, same as the football player - lack of inspiration from scammers) contacted me in order to present my "case" situation and how they discovered that scammers made huge profits with my 1 ETH

Nevertheless the scammer "ensured" me that i will be refunded, and, also i will share some of the profits the scammers made, and i'm eligible to receive 10.452 ETH refund (first huge red flag- Government agencies seize the profits from these kinds of activities and refund users only with their lost amount)

Next red flags:

Lack of transparency

Via e-mail, they also asked me to use Team Viewer/Anydesk with them, another huge red flag.

e-mail domain address finishes with .io instead of .gov - Huge red flag

Finally, the point of this post is:

- Double check and research even if you have to receive money

- If it sounds too good to be true, it is!

- Check the senders domain and also google their names

- Foreign state agencies will never contact you
