Will SEC Adopt Spot Ethereum (ETH) ETFs in 2 Weeks?

We have entered very critical weeks in the cryptocurrency industry. Crypto investors' eyes have now slowly turned to spot #Ethereum ETFs. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will announce this critical decision in 2 weeks.

Recently, Ark Invest removed the staking feature from its spot Ethereum #ETF application. This has given some investors renewed hope for spot ETH ETFs.

Spot Ethereum ETFs may not be approved until the end of 2025, Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analyst Eric Balchunas recently said.

If the SEC rejects spot Ethereum ETFs, prospective ETF issuers like BlackRock, Fidelity, or Ark Invest have two options: either file a lawsuit with the SEC, as Grayscale did for Bitcoin spot ETFs, or re-file at a later date .

Eric Balchunas says 2025 is the earliest date for spot Ethereum ETFs, despite the possibility of Donald Trump being elected and #SEC chairman Gensler being removed from his post:

“Issuers will re-apply if there is a new president, and this time perhaps they will be approved, or they will file a lawsuit through this process.

“Either way, it will take at least another year for spot Ethereum ETFs to launch.”
