$On 19 April 2024, an unknown bitcoin owner sent 0.585 BTC to another address. The transaction fee was $12,581.

This is not the first time that users have paid huge fees for bitcoin transfers. On 16 January 2024, an unknown counterparty spent about $173,000 to transfer 2.9 BTC.

In September 2023, an unknown person paid 19.8 BTC (about $510,000 at the time) to transfer 0.074 BTC.

In November, the counterparty sent 139.4 BTC to another address, and the transaction fee was 83.65 BTC or $3.14 million. However, the AntPool mining pool team stated that they would refund the entire amount as soon as they received confirmation from the owner.

Similar incidents have also occurred with the Ethereum coin. On 13 February 2024, an Ethereum owner sent 10 ETH to another address. The fee for this transaction was 42.88 ETH, which at the time was valued at $113,497.
