I've lost a lot trying to do airdrops & the scams are increasing daily.
Just yesterday, someone shared a link for a Maverick airdrop on my crypto community group & it turned out that the airdrop is fake. They have the same name and logo appearances as that of Binance and Maverick on their website😥.

The sad thing is that, gullible individuals and newbies are still falling prey to these types of #scams. These are some of the techniques these scammers use;
1. They create cloned websites that has similar name with a good project.
2. Create a fake referral airdrop contest, where you share and earn. This will make you want to invite more people, who trust that you have done your proper research well enough.
3. They create a countdown timer on their website and cajole you to join in the presale. If you send tokens, you will never receive anything.

4. The websites usually have social media links to their telegram handles or channels. Here, the group chat is usually closed.
5. They create very high rewards just to attract loads of newbies.
Well, you've come to the right place. As a survivor and scam detective 🕵️, here are some key ways to note them;
1. First of all, I clicked the link on my brave browser. This browser does not have my details there and this helps in case of malicious codes. You can also use incognito mode.
2. Next step was to check the website for claimed affiliations with Binance. Luckily, they did😭😂.
3. Then I checked other stuffs on the websites like, airdrop tasks and the link details. These scammers would request for your wallet address so they can start sending you tokens that could wipe away your funds, if you try to swap.
4. Then I went to twitter to search. Luckily the Maverick x Binance team are in top of their jobs. It was there I saw a list of scam projects trying to pose as the original maverick project.

5. Also, note that binance also tags the right handles when partnering with projects. This helped alot.
Although, #Maverick x #Binance have been hosting some giveaways for AMA etc.. Also, Binance Maverick launchpool event is live (don't forget to check it out 💎 ⛏️) on the platform. These are all the legit ones and endorsed by binance.
While airdrops are fun & an easy to make ends meet, you should always try not to fall prey. Some users got their wallets hacked and lost tokens worth $200+😭.
