Greed Index

We had been in the Greed section for months, and since last week it had been moved to the neutral section. Now it's ascended back into Greed territory.

So what does all this tell us?

First of all, the Fear & Greed Index shows us the emotional state of people and usually moves inversely with the price. As greed increases, the probability of decline increases; as fear increases, the probability of rise increases.

People were convinced of the decline last week and fear set in. But they squeezed the market between 42,000-43,500. The stalling of the price in this area whetted people's appetite for buying and they started buying again.

So, "Is the decline coming while everyone is expecting a decline?" The statement is not very true. Because not everyone expects a decline. Not everyone has taken a bearish position.

Let's not forget that the Fear & Gread Index is supportive data. It alone does not give us an idea about the price.
