According to Foresight News, South Korean blockchain gaming platform WEMIX has announced the activation of the Brioche hard fork on July 1. The hard fork aims to implement revised token minting rules, launch an enhanced version of WEMIX PLAY, and integrate blockchain technology into 'Legend of YMIR'.
The changes in the token economic model brought about by the Brioche hard fork include: implementing a halving adjustment to the number of coins minted, destroying approximately 435 million WEMIX reserved by the foundation, and allocating ecosystem development funds, non-circulating WEMIX holdings, and development costs according to the circulation supply plan.
The goal of the adjustment is to achieve a total supply of WEMIX of 588 million by 2100, a 60% reduction from the current maximum supply of 980 million.
