According to U.Today, Arbitrum (ARB) is stirring up the cryptocurrency community with its introduction of Reputation Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). The Reputation NFT system, which is expected to go live soon, is being developed by TogetherCrew, a team incubated by RnDAO. The team received a grant from ArbitrumDAO for this project. The system is designed to measure and verify the real social media activity of Arbitrum enthusiasts. Contributors will be able to mint a nontransferable NFT for free via the TogetherCrew User Interface.

The algorithm of the system will analyze conversations and map social graphs to calculate the context a user has within the community. This Sybil-resistant approach can be used for rewards and as a portable credential, among other uses. The grant request mentioned Discord, Discourse, Telegram, and Github as potential platforms to be analyzed by the mechanism. However, the exact list of eligible social media platforms is yet to be disclosed.

In other news, Arbitrum has also launched a massive Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP). The project, which is fully funded through grants, transferred 225 million ARB tokens to the GCP. The program aims to promote the immediate adoption of Arbitrum, its L3 development framework Orbit, and language-agnostic SDK Stylus in the Play-to-Earn and GameFi segments. The exact timeline for the activation of the program has not been revealed yet. The platform behind Arbitrum's Reputation NFTs has previously created similar systems for Aave and other actors in the crypto market.
