According to PANews, OpenAI has hired Sarah Friar, the former CEO of social networking service Nextdoor Holdings Inc., as its Chief Financial Officer. Concurrently, the company has also appointed Kevin Weil as the new Chief Product Officer. Weil has previously held executive positions at Instagram and Twitter, where he was responsible for product development.
In her new role, Friar will assist OpenAI in continuing to invest in artificial intelligence research while also expanding its global business. Weil, on the other hand, will lead a product team dedicated to serving OpenAI's research results to the company's consumers and corporate users.
