According to Blockworks, crypto trading and lending firm VersiFi has added two traditional finance hires to its C-suite as it prepares for the launch of its platform in Q1 2024. Sol Zlotchenko has been appointed as chief product and technology officer, while Daniel Zayfman will serve as chief information and security officer. Both hires previously worked at treasury management firm Hazeltree, where VersiFi founder Sameer Shalaby was CEO. In mid-November, VersiFi announced it had raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Hunting Hill Global Capital. Former Genesis managing director Martin Garcia will lead the firm's sales, trading, and lending functions as co-CEO alongside Shalaby.

Crypto job postings declined in November, with data from CryptoJobsList showing 239 crypto and Web3 jobs posted, down from 372 in October. However, crypto job applicants increased to 3,339 from 2,422 the previous month. Raman Sha, the platform's founder, told Blockworks that he expects hiring to pick up in mid-January as part of the normal hiring cycle and again towards the middle of the year as more Web3 startups raise fresh funding. In other hiring news, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston is seeking a software engineer to lead its research on central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), and Blast, a Paradigm-backed layer-2 with over $800 million in total value locked before launching, is hiring a senior development operations engineer and a senior protocol engineer.
