According to PANews, the pre-trial hearing for the cryptocurrency mixing service Samourai Wallet has been rescheduled from December 17 to March 12, 2025, following a memorandum submitted on December 11. The trial is now set for November 3, 2025. This delay extends the proceedings by 90 days.

Since the last pre-trial meeting on September 17, 2024, in a U.S. court, the government has submitted additional evidence batches on September 23 and October 21, 2024. Despite encryption challenges, the government replicated the first and second batches of evidence and provided them to developer Keonne Rodriguez on November 6, 2024. A fifth batch of evidence, containing data extracted from seized devices, is expected to be submitted within seven days.

The memorandum reveals that an FBI team is examining 45 devices seized from developers Keonne Rodriguez and William Lonergan Hill for confidential materials. The team plans to release the remaining data by early 2025. So far, over 17 terabytes of data, more than half of the total, have been shared, with more to be disclosed before the trial. During a recent hearing, the defense for Samourai Wallet compared the volume of evidence to 75% of the Library of Congress's collection, with the printed documents' thickness equating to 22 round trips to the moon.

In April, it was reported that the co-founders of Samourai Wallet were arrested and charged with money laundering.
