Semler Scientific Acquires Another 211 Bitcoin for $21.5 Million, Raises Holdings to 2,084 BTC

The addition of 211 bitcoin has seen Semler Scientific double its bitcoin balance in Q4 alone, raising its bitcoin yield to 92.8%.

Semler Makes Another Addition to Growing BTC Balance

Semler Scientific has announced another purchase of 211 bitcoin for $21.5 million. According to a Dec. 16 press release, Semler purchased the additional bitcoin with proceeds from its at-the-market (ATM) offering and operating cash flow.

The 211 bitcoin were purchased at an average price of $101,890 per bitcoin, including fees and charges. At an average purchase price of $80,916 per bitcoin including fees and expenses, Semler Scientific has purchased 2,084 bitcoin for a total of $168.6 million as of Dec. 15, 2024.

Semler Scientific officially adopted its bitcoin treasury strategy in July 2024. Since then, it has achieved a bitcoin yield of 92.8% from July 1 to Dec. 15 2024. In Q4, Semler has recorded a bitcoin yield of 67.0% with the company doubling its holdings from 1,018 to 2,084 BTC.

The adoption of the bitcoin yield as a key performance indicator (KPI) by Semler is a strategy that helps the company evaluate the effectiveness of its bitcoin purchase strategy with its attendant benefits for stockholders.

Semler’s bitcoin acquisition strategy closely resembles that of Microstrategy who recently announced the purchase of another 15,350 BTC for $1.5 billion, raising its total holdings to 439,009 bitcoin worth $45.4 billion. #Write2Earn
