I believe the two blockchain ecosystems that have seen significant traction during this Ethereum-driven wave are exchange-backed public chains like Base and BNB Chain. Base, with its robust business strategies and resource consolidation, has successfully attracted numerous North American projects. This appeal is further strengthened by the interest of Ethereum-focused venture capitalists, who are generally more inclined to invest in such initiatives.
On the other hand, BNB Chain has captured attention from projects in China and Southeast Asia, leveraging Binance’s extensive ecosystem and influencer-driven traffic. Unlike Base, the venture capital interest here predominantly comes from Asian investors. These investors often introduce community or influencer-driven funding rounds, creating a sense of shared momentum and encouraging collective participation in the ecosystem’s growth.
