On November 27, Shea Ketsdever, a researcher from Flashbots, announced on social media that they have launched BuilderNet, a decentralized Ethereum block construction network that uses Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and Share MEV (Maximum Extractable Value) with the community. The goal of BuilderNet is to eliminate exclusive order flow deals, improve Ethereum’s censorship resistance, and speed up the decentralization of the Rollup and application layers.
In the first version, BuilderNet is operated by Flashbots, Beaverbuild, and Nethermind, but in the future, it will also provide a plug-and-play solution to offer decentralized sorting functionality for Layer 2 (L2) through Rollup-Boost.
