Dogwifhat (WIF) saw an increase in value on Monday morning due to Robinhood’s announcement that the popular Solana meme coin is now available for trading on its platform in the United States. WIF, which experienced a significant surge in value over the past year, is one of 2024’s top meme coin success stories.
It now joins 19 other crypto tokens available for trading on Robinhood Crypto. Upon the news, WIF jumped over 7% in seconds to reach $3.47, settling back down to $3.35 but still up 7% over the past 24 hours. Robinhood has been cautious about the crypto assets it allows its users to trade, but with the addition of WIF, it appears to be adopting a more liberal approach to crypto listings.
BONK, another popular Solana meme coin, may also be added to Robinhood’s offerings in the near future.
