• Fruition Productions renames its Ripple documentary to appeal to a wider audience.

  • The motion picture now centers on the SEC’s effect on the entire crypto sector and its future.

  • Ripple’s CTO David Schwartz shares insights on XRP’s technical aspects in the video.

Fruition Studios has changed the title of its documentary on Ripple’s court battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The film, initially called XRP Unleashed, will now be titled Rigged from the Start: Exposing the SEC’s War on Crypto. This change is meant to attract a wider audience, going beyond the core digital currency group.

The new title highlights the film’s expanded focus. It will cover Ripple’s legal issues but also show how these challenges reflect the larger struggles within the crypto industry. Rigged from the Start puts the SEC’s alleged bias at the center of the discussion, linking it to the industry’s ongoing regulatory hurdles.

New Focus on the SEC’s Effect on Crypto

Fruition Productions explained that the title shift was designed to engage more people. The documentary will now explore the SEC’s impact on the entire crypto market and the lack of clear regulations. It will also investigate how the SEC’s actions affect innovation in digital assets, positioning Ripple’s legal battles within the larger story of the industry’s future.

This change aims to give viewers a deeper understanding of how Ripple’s struggles reflect the difficulties faced by other companies in the crypto world. By exploring these broader issues, the documentary hopes to generate more conversation about crypto regulations and the SEC’s role.

Independent Release Strategy to Maintain Control

Instead of working with major streaming platforms like Netflix, Fruition Productions has chosen an independent release. This decision allows for faster distribution without relying on intermediaries. By skipping platforms like Netflix, the filmmakers can control the timing of the release and ensure that the message remains true to their vision.

Choosing to distribute the documentary independently also means it will reach viewers more quickly. Without the usual delays of working with large platforms, the documentary will be available to a global audience in a timely manner.

Ripple’s Limited Involvement in the Documentary

Ripple’s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, and other executives declined to participate in the undertaking. However, he also agreed to an interview where he discussed the technical aspects of the token. While some key voices are missing, Schwartz’s input will provide an important perspective on XRP’s role in the crypto market.
