**News Flash: Dfinity and Cambodia Partner for Smart City Initiative**

Dfinity, the Swiss foundation behind the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) blockchain, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Cambodia's Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation. Announced at Token2049, the collaboration aims to boost research, training, and support for smart city infrastructure.

The LOI is part of Dfinity's broader mission to share sovereign cloud technology with governments. Dominic Williams, Dfinity's founder, highlighted the role of ICP in Cambodia's digital transformation and smart city development.

Cambodia's MISTI director, Try Sophal, emphasized the integration of blockchain to accelerate smart city projects and strengthen the digital economy. This partnership aligns with Cambodia's goal to be a tech leader in the region.
