Web3 founders event, FORKED, was recently hosted in Seoul, South Korea, as part of the Korea Blockchain Week. The event saw 1200+ attendees, consisting of a waitlist of founders from Web3, KOLs, and investors.

The event took place in the iconic SJ Kunsthalle in Gangnam, with three floors of gaming-focused venues. A major highlight of this event was the showdown between Web3 gaming KOLs (key opinion leaders).

KOLs who took part in the showdown included Sanjay, Openthefridge, Maeveknows, Pukerainbow, Apple ETH, and a few others. These KOLs faced each other in gaming battles in front of a live audience.

The Pudgy Penguins team also attended the event

The CEO of Pudgy Penguins, Luca Schnetzler, was among the various leading voices in Web3 who attended the event. A discussion was held on community ownership. The CEO was also joined by other voices like Allen NG (CEO of EVG), Giulio Xiloyannis (Co-founder of Pixelmon), and Nom from BONK.

The rest of the lineup included Sake Labs’ Andrew Saunders, Gabby Dizon from YGG, and David Bolger (Offchain Labs).

The Networking Zone at FORKED brought together 12 top VCs and various founders in a “VC Connect” session. The purpose of this session was to enable direct interaction with founders and investors.

FORKED event ended with an on-stage basketball battle

As a fun addition to the event, a basketball contest took place on stage. Gamers who probably were not expecting to shoot basketballs through hoops joined in, too.

The next FORKED event is expected to happen in Q1 2025 with more immersive experiences. However, the location of the next event hasn’t been revealed yet.
