, #BINANCE the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has announced its support for a network upgrade and hard fork for the altcoin Optimism (OP).

The exchange shared that it will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals on the Optimism network starting from 18:00 (UTC) on September 11, 2024, to ensure a smooth user experience during the upgrade.

The network upgrade and hard fork will occur at around 19:00 (UTC) on the same day. However, trading of tokens on the Optimism network will not be affected.

Binance will handle all technical aspects for its users, and deposits and withdrawals will resume once the network is confirmed to be stable. No additional announcements will be made after this.
