Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust Gets SEC Green Light:

The SEC has approved Grayscale's new spot Bitcoin ETF, the Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust, for listing on NYSE Arca, a significant development for the firm. With management fees of 0.15%, the Mini Trust offers a lower-cost alternative to the existing Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), which charges 1.5% annually.

On July 31, Grayscale will transfer 10% of GBTC's Bitcoin to the Mini Trust, distributing shares proportionally to current GBTC shareholders, who will thus hold the same amount of Bitcoin across two funds. This move follows a similar strategy with Grayscale's Ethereum fund, aimed at providing tax advantages and operational efficiencies to shareholders.
