I want to share my personal experience with Catizen, a project I got into after a friend recommended it to me. I’ve been playing Catizen for about a month, though I know some have been involved for much longer. During my time, I even used a bot and purchased in-game $FISH coins multiple times.
Recently, Catizen announced an airdrop, and the bot app showed I had 32 CATI tokens available for either withdrawal or staking, with a promised APY of around 1000%. Excited about the rewards, I decided to stake my CATI tokens on HashKey Exchange. We were given multiple options, but I chose HashKey. Catizen informed us that the tokens would be locked until September 24th, and would be deposited to the exchange before September 27th. That was fine with me, as I was looking forward to the extra rewards.
The CATI token was listed on several exchanges, including Binance, on September 20th, but since I had staked my tokens, I had to wait until the 24th to access them.
When September 24th arrived, I went to claim my CATI and HSK tokens on HashKey Exchange. However, as the day passed, I still hadn’t received my tokens. I checked the official chat group and saw that nearly everyone who had staked CATI was facing the same issue. When we asked the moderators and supporters for help, we were simply told to “be patient.”

As community supporters, they should have known what was going on. When I expressed my frustration and warned them not to scam people who trusted them, my messages were deleted, and I was banned from the group. I rejoined with a backup account to explain what happened, but they blocked me again.
It’s not just me either—I’ve noticed they control the community by blocking anyone who asks serious questions. I’m not the only one who’s had this experience.
After all this, here’s what I think about Catizen: I don’t believe they’re outright scammers, but they’re far from legitimate. It feels like they’re more focused on making money than building a strong community, unlike projects like $NOT $DOGS . In their groups, they constantly promote new premium passes, but when serious questions are raised, they ignore or block users. It seems they only care about making sales, not fostering genuine trust.
I doubt many players from Season 1 will stick around for Season 2, and I won’t either. This has been my experience with Catizen, and these are my thoughts on the project.
