3️⃣Aleo credit transfers

This section consists of the following components.

Transfer <--> Consists of a blank for the Recipient address, amount of tokens, amount record, fee specifier, fee record and Private key
Allowing a smooth transferring experience on the web.

Split Record <--> Consists of a blank for the Split Amount, Record and Private Key.

As the name suggests, this section allows you to Split a Record.

Join Records <--> Consists of a blank for the 1st Record, 2nd Record, Fee Specifier, Fee Record and Private Key.
Allows a user to Join two records together seamlessly.

4️⃣Management of program state and related data

➡️This section is interestingly simple which allows you to decrypt a ciphertext using the View Key.

5️⃣Communicating with the Aleo network

This section consists of the following components.

➡️A button to Get the latest Block Height
➡️A button to Get the latest Block

➡️Get Block By typing in the Height
➡️Get Block By typing in the Hash
➡️Get the Program By typing in the Program ID

➡️Get Mapping Names By typing in the relevant Program ID
➡️Get the Mapping Value By typing in the ProgramID, Name of the Mapping and it's key
➡️Get the transaction By typing in the Transaction ID you desire.

All of these tools are available in aleo dot tools for you to experiment🤗

The second phase of Testnet3 has come to the end. The Aleo network will be in a disconnected state starting from April 13, 23:59 (UTC) and until April 17. There are several important updates are performed in preparation for the third phase of Testnet3.

An important point for the holders of the Aleo node is that the network update will include a restart with a hard fork, so by April 17, the nodes will need to update to the latest version.

This Week's Updates

➡️The Community call was held last Wednesday at 20:00 IST @ Discord.
➡️The hosts were Viv and Howard Wu
🔵Howard is a co-founder of Aleo and is now the CEO of Provable
➡️According to Howard,
🟦The provable team is currently focused on building final requests for validators and stakers.
🟦The Provable team also consists of engineers who are working on Leo, Explorer and other UX-related tooling around Aleo
🟦The ZK-circuit design has now transitioned from the original ZEXE design, and now the Aleo Synthesizer is used.

🟦The audit report which was conducted by zkSecurity can be found in the blog.
🟦Although Aleo already has privacy which can be controlled by devs, the team is working on a solution to enable functional privacy a swell.
🟦When someone writes a contract on Leo, they generate circuits off-chain and then submit them on-chain.
🟦Provers are written on AVM bytecodes and then converted into mathematical polynomials.

🟦The consensus bug has been fixed🤩
🟦Now, the team is working on implementing ARC 37 and 38
🟦The team is working on rebuilding the coinbase mechanism
🟦Bullshark [a consensus algorithm, to keep things simple] and Narwhal [ an efficient BFT consensus] are used as they can,
1️⃣scale way better than BFT
2️⃣work is evenly distributed among validators
3️⃣Slashing is not required at the consensus level

I know it's a lot already, but hangon tight🦁

🟦All 4 validators on testnet3 remain operational, but some weird behaviour might occur as testnet3 uses the old consensus version.
🟦Aleo will become the first zkVM with privacy + programmability
🟦The team is also exploring the intro of custom lookups, and adding batch-verification
[batch execution has already been shipped]
🟦Aleo can store zkNFT's metadata on-chain, completely.

In today's episode, we are discussing Arcane Finance, one of the most important DEXes on Aleo.

1️⃣What is Arcane Finance🤔
➡️Arcane describes itself as the Privacy-centric DEX on Aleo, which enables Full confidential DeFi Activity in a non-custodial manner.
➡️The AMM consist of the following👇
1️⃣A spot exchange backed by ZKPs⚡
2️⃣A highly concentrated liquidity AMM🏭
3️⃣Uncompromised Privacy🔒

🟦It's worth mentioning that Arcane is backed by Aleo's Snark Tank with an impressive amount of 17.5K USD [That's gud amount of funding IMO]

So now, let's get started.
1️⃣First We need to install an Aleo-compatible wallet.
You can either choose either Leo Wallet or Puzzle Wallet.
Leo -> leo dot app
Puzzle -> Puzzle dot online
Now set up your wallet as usual by writing down the phrase and saving it in a secure place.
In this case, I will be using Puzzle wallet.
Head to Puzzle Wallet's faucet and claim some Testnet Aleo credits
[Simply click the extension and you will see a Button named [Get Testnet credits]]

2️⃣Now, head to arcane dot finance and hit launch app

3️⃣Now, to start testing, we need some testnet funds.
Hit the faucet button and enter any amount.
Do not the max is 1000 in any testnet token.

Now enter the amount and press claim
Now, you will have to also approve the wallet confirmation as well.
press confirm there as well.
Now wait until the transaction is processed.
Do note that this might take some time, and can also vary from the device you are using.
4️⃣Now, head to the trade section, select a pair of your choice and perform a few swaps.

5️⃣Also make sure you've added some LP by heading to the pool section

6️⃣Now head to the leaderboard and check out points as much as you can
Daily a user gets
1000 points each for Adding LP, Swaps and claiming faucet.
In addition, you earn 100 points each for every transaction you conduct.
The more you interact, the more points you earn

🔵Aleo's SDK(Software Development Kit) is specifically designed to facilitate truly ZK transactions

The SDK uses A combination of JS and TypeScript libraries and consists of the following functionality.

2️⃣Web-based program execution and deployment

3️⃣Aleo credit transfers

4️⃣Management of program state and related data

5️⃣Communicating with the Aleo network

In this episode, we will discuss about 1️⃣and 2️⃣

1️⃣Aleo Account Management

This section allows to execute the following functions.

Create a new account <--> Allows users to create a new aleo account and generates the Private Key, View Key and Address, which starts with aleo and consists of 63 characters

Load Account From PK <--> allows the user to load their account using the private key.

Load Address from VK <--> allows the user to generate the address using the view key.

Sign Message <--> allows a user to sign an encrypted message using their private key.

Verify A Message <--> allows users to verify an encrypted message via the address and cryptographic signature.

2️⃣Web-based program execution and deployment

This section allows a user to,

Execute a program on Aleo <--> Users can run the Leo programs on the Web playground. No Strings attached.

Deploy a program on Aleo <--> Users can deploy their own Aleo programs without the use of a traditional IDE such as VSCode or Sublime Text.

➡️A new ambassador role with a higher status than the Maestro will be introduced to keep ambassadors motivated.
➡️There was a dev call Last Friday and here's what is most important in terms of technicals👇
🔵Bi-weekly Meetings were introduced to foster collaboration.
🔵The introduction of the Mainnet Action Plan:
A minimum acceptance criteria for:
1️⃣AleoBFT consensus
2️⃣Client Synchronization
3️⃣Public/Private Transactions
4️⃣Programs Deployments and
5️⃣Coin-base puzzle
is in the works.
🔵Currently 50% of Devnet Testing is completed and the puzzle integration is in progress.
🔵The team expects to Complete Devnet Testing, Integration of the puzzle and Audits for ARC 37/38 Standards to be done by the 1st of April.
🔵There will be a code freeze by May
🔵Testnet3 currently has some outages and is going to be deprecated and a stable public testnet is underway.

🔷Back to the general call information😉
➡️The new coin-base algorithm is mostly done with development but is required to be finalized and integrated, then an audit will be performed which is estimated to take roughly 2 months.
➡️The algorithm will be released a month before mainnet
➡️Tokenomics is live on the website for the public to observe.
➡️Most of the insiders [Investors, Team etc] -> 1 year cliff, then a 24-month vesting schedule
Although they are locked, they can still stake.
➡️Grantees/Testnet Participants --> No lockup if not US based, else 1 year lockup.
➡️Do note that the inflation in the tokenomics page is an estimate, which might change.
➡️Mining is initially planned to be GPU-based but will transition to ASIC-compatibility as the blockchain evolves.
[The new algorithm is expected to be memory-heavy, so the setup is likely to be complex]
➡️A new governance section named loose-thoughts is live in Discord for users to discuss related topics.
