Here are some best practices for creating engaging videos:
3 SEC RULE, start with a hook or question: The first few seconds of your video are crucial for capturing your audience's attention. Start with a catchy hook to grab their attention and keep them watching.
Add captions or text overlays on videos: many people watch video without sound, adding captions or text overlays can help get your message across.
Be informative and authentic: Build informative videos and keep those short and sweet.
Incorporate industry news and trends: Crypto and web3 is constantly evolving with new trends and technologies, and information is time-sensitive. Incorporate these into your videos to stay relevant and increase your chances of going viral.
Test and iterate: Keep experimenting with different video formats, styles, and content to see what resonates best with your audience. Analyze your metrics and adjust your content accordingly.
Short and Long Video Insights:
If you aim to create short videos, here are some ideas that can be easily condensed into 15-60 seconds.
Explainer videos: Crypto and Web3 are complex topics, and many people are still trying to understand how they work. Explainer videos can be a great way to break down complex concepts and make them more accessible to a wider audience.
News updates: The crypto and Web3 industries are constantly evolving, and there's always something new happening. Creating short news updates can be a great way to keep your audience up-to-date on the latest developments.
Tutorials: Crypto and Web3 technologies often involve complex processes, such as setting up a wallet or participating in a decentralized application. Tutorials can provide step-by-step guidance for viewers who want to learn how to use these technologies.
The above ideas work well with more information as longer videos (up to 10 minutes) as well. Longer-form content allows for a deeper dive into complex topics and more in-depth discussions, which can be beneficial for educating and engaging viewers. However, it's still important to keep the content engaging and visually interesting, as viewers may quickly lose interest if the video is too dry or unengaging.
Opinion pieces: Sharing your opinions and thoughts on relevant topics can help build your personal brand and establish you as a thought leader in the crypto and Web3 space.
Case studies: Sharing real-world examples of how crypto and Web3 technologies are being used can help to demonstrate their potential and showcase the benefits they offer.
Event coverage: Attending and covering industry events like conferences, meetups, and hackathons can provide valuable insights and networking opportunities. You can create videos highlighting key takeaways, interviews with attendees or speakers, or even live stream the event.
Documentaries: If you have the resources and expertise, creating a longer-form documentary-style video can provide a deeper dive into a specific topic or concept.
Animated videos: Animation can be a great way to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging way. Animated videos can also be more visually interesting and entertaining then traditional talking head videos.
