Hong Kong will allow retail access to exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that invest directly into cryptocurrencies. The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is prepared to authorise funds with direct exposure to virtual assets, including spot virtual asset ETFs, according to a circular jointly issued by the securities regulator and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Spot crypto investment products should meet the same requirements Hong Kong regulators have for mutual funds and other structured investment products, the circular stated.

Product issuers should also have a “good track record of regulatory compliance,” the SFC added, and employ “at least one competent staff member with relevant experience in the management of [virtual assets] or related products.” The regulators will also establish a list of permitted tokens that funds are allowed to hold, which are also available for spot trading on Hong Kong-approved crypto exchanges.

After announcing in October last year the city’s goal to become a global virtual-asset hub, Hong Kong authorities have put in place a new regulatory regime for centralised exchanges, which allows licensed platforms to accept retail investors. Only two companies have so far received licences, as nine other firms await approval of their applications.

Freunde, heute bin ich auf eine interessante Infografik gestoßen. Sie zeigt den Liquiditätszufluss zum Markt. Wenn wir sie betrachten, können wir ein Muster erkennen, dass sich die Gesamtzuflüsse in ETH und BTC jetzt im gleichen Tempo beschleunigen wie vor dem Bullenmarkt in den Jahren 2020 und 2021.

Manche könnten sagen, dass dies nur ein normaler Anstieg der Marktaktivität ist. Obwohl dieser Indikator seine aktuellen Werte erreicht hat, ist er jedoch NICHT so bald auf seinen Ausgangspunkt zurückgefallen.

Es lohnt sich nicht, direkt zu sagen, dass dies den Beginn eines weiteren globalen Bullenzyklus signalisiert. Aber es ist ein sehr wichtiger Indikator. Und ich glaube, niemand wird bestreiten, dass der Markt derzeit in sehr guter Verfassung ist: Es kommen neue Projekte heraus, BTC steigt rasant, große Projekte machen lautstarke Ankündigungen usw. Bitcoin doesn’t look strong here. I don’t see purchases here, bulls are waiting for something or just not buying at this price.

In fact, we have the basic consolidation formation. As long as we trade above the $40,000 level, bullish trend remains safe.

We may see fake breakdown of this level, that’s for sure, don’t get fooled by it.

If Bitcoin breaks the $40,000 down and take hold below, the real correction will start. But only correction, not talking about any bearishness anymore
