What is Aevo?
Aevo is a Layer 2 derivative platform developed using the $OP Stack toolkit, also known as OP Chain. Aevo inherits security features from Ethereum while still being able to support over 5,000 transactions per second. This has enabled Aevo to process over $10 billion worth of transactions.
Aevo utilizes an off-chain order book to create a trading market for perpetual and options products.
Aevo operates the off-chain order book and conducts on-chain settlements using smart contracts. In July 2023, a governance vote was conducted proposing the integration of Ribbon into Aevo, which was ultimately approved. This consensus illustrates alignment between stakeholders’ visions and Aevo’s direction.

Core Technology of Aevo
Off-chain Order Book with On-chain Settlement: This method uses an off-chain system to manage the order book and asset trading without directly using the blockchain. Subsequently, these trades are confirmed and recorded on the blockchain when necessary.
Off Chain Orderbook
The purpose of this method is to reduce the burden of direct transactions on the blockchain, making transactions faster and reducing transaction fees, while still ensuring safety and transparency through transaction confirmation on the blockchain.
Aevo Chain Layer 2 Architecture: Aevo Chain is a Layer 2 based on Optimistic Rollup technology and built with Op Stack. All Aevo transactions and smart contracts operate on Aevo Rollup. Aevo also collaborates with Conduit to manage and execute the transfer of transactions to the Ethereum Mainnet every hour. Gas fees for transactions within Aevo Rollup are paid in $ETH . Currently, gas fees for transactions paid by Aevo Exchange, while gas fees for deposits and withdrawals are paid by users.
