The Sandbox raised $20 million at a $1 billion valuation
The investment round was led by Kingsway Capital and Animoca Brands, with the participation of LG Tech Ventures and True Global Ventures.
Part of the money will go towards developing a decentralized metaverse for mobile devices, which is expected to launch in 2025.
