The rune protocol is an attempt to create a more efficient token standard than BRC-20s.
"Fungible" simply means that the tokens are interchangeable, just like ELON tokens on Ethereum are. Runes will use Bitcoin to pay for fees, just like we pay gas (gwei) on ETH.
