According to Odaily, SMG Research Director Max Resnick has proposed a solution to the control issues inherent in Miner Extractable Value (MEV). He suggests that the key to resolving these issues lies in addressing censorship resistance and transaction reordering.

Resnick's proposal involves setting up multiple parallel proposers to tackle censorship resistance. The next step is to address the reordering of transactions. Once a multi-proposer architecture is established, proposers can reach a consensus on a set of unordered transactions. The execution layer would then be responsible for sorting them using deterministic rules.

In response to Resnick's proposal, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin raised concerns about the potential for people to flood the chain with transactions in an attempt to collect MEV, thereby maximizing their chances of being first. He warned that this could lead to 'MEV auctions' with more negative external effects at the protocol level.

Buterin drew parallels with the ICO era of 2017, when some projects attempted to ban transactions with gas fees higher than 50, resulting in a significant amount of spam on the chain. He suggested that Resnick's proposal could potentially lead to a similar situation.
