• Chromia launches updated roadmap building anticipation for Token2049 in Singapore.

  • The iterated roadmap includes new upgrades on its bridge and the launch of Filehub.

Chromia, a Layer 1 relational blockchain powering an ecosystem of gaming, tokenization, DePINs and NFTs, announced its updated roadmap – setting a new path for the community. The newly updated strategy for Chromia will include the launch of its native staking capabilities, upgrades bridge functionalities, and more importantly, the mainnet launch of Filehub, a decentralized file storage service.

According to the team statement, the latest move aims to drive the project to the “next phase of development and ecosystem growth”, following the blockchain’s mainnet launch in July this year.

Chromia’s new blueprint launches two weeks before one of the largest Web 3 conferences – Token 2049 – in Singapore, scheduled for September 18th and 19th at the Marina Bay Sands Resort. Chromia secured its spot in the conference, with a team of delegates from the company presenting its ideas to the attendees. The conference is expected to be a key move in driving Chromia’s growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region, following the appointment of x-DeFiance Capital executive Yeou Jie Goh as Head of APAC in December 2023.

On its growing presence in the region and the upcoming Token2049 conference, Henrik Hjelte, Chromia’s co-founder stated:

“TOKEN2049 will be a pivotal moment where we outline our plans. The big idea is that our Mainnet is ready, and now we’re shifting our focus to ecosystem expansion.”

Chromia Announces New Roadmap for Q4 2024 And Beyond

Most of the developments and upgrades to come from the roadmap will be unveiled during the conference, which has sparked increased interest in what Chromia has in store from now until the end of 2025.

As a teaser, the team announced a few updates and developments coming to the platform in Q4 2024, including the native staking service that will allow users to passively earn rewards as they secure the network, several bridge upgrades and enhancements, and its flagship product, Filehub – a decentralized file storage service. Filehub will enable on-chain storage for larger token metadata, such as images, animations, videos, and music. Additionally, the service can be used for general-purpose storage, and will also support decentralized website hosting.

he launch of Fulehub aims to expand Chromia’s offerings and drive solutions in the data layer and service ecosystem. Notwithstanding, Filehib is part of Chromia’s broader strategy to position itself as a data service layer for Web3 projects across the crypto space, complementing its well-established gaming ecosystem which includes projects like My Neighbor Alice, Mines of Dalarnia, Chain of Alliance, and Cloudborn.
