Nigerian SEC to Issue First Digital Services and Tokenized Asset Licenses 🤩
Emomotimi Agama, the Director General of the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission (#SEC ), stated that the regulatory body plans to issue its first licenses for digital services and tokenized assets this month.
In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Agama emphasized that, as an enthusiast of #cryptocurrency and fintech, he believes this process will advance more quickly than expected. He pointed out that it is crucial to support young people in benefiting from fintech, as the market is vast and continually growing.
It was previously reported that the Nigerian SEC had issued its first provisional operating #license to the African cryptocurrency exchange platform Quidax.
