• Hamster Kombat's token listing is delayed, frustrating users eager to convert in-game earnings to real money.

  • AD.RU invested $600,000 in Arenum, but Arenum’s $10M IDO funds were reinvested, not shared with investors.

  • Eduard Gurinovich claims Hamster Kombat is unrelated to Arenum, leading to legal and financial disputes.

The popular game Hamster Kombat faces mounting controversy amid ongoing delays for its token listing. Despite its rapid growth, the game, which launched on Telegram in March, remains unlisted on major cryptocurrency exchanges. Binance has set up a page for the HMSTR token, but trading has not yet begun. This postponement has frustrated users eager to convert their in-game earnings into real money.

Investment Disputes and Financial Conflicts

The game's development history reveals a tangled web of investment and conflict. Hamster Kombat is the result of work by the Arenum team, led by Eduard Gurinovich. Originally, Arenum secured a $600,000 investment from the IT holding AD.RU in early 2020. This investment came with an 18.6% stake. AD.RU subsequently increased its stake to 25% as the project progressed.

However, issues began to surface as early as 2021. Arenum’s team suggested using an Initial DEX Offering (IDO) to raise additional funds, which AD.RU supported. Arenum raised $10 million through the IDO but failed to share profits with its investors, citing reinvestment in new games.

In 2024, the launch of Hamster Kombat marked a major success. The game quickly went viral, surpassing 155 million players in just a few months. Yet, this success came amid increasing friction. In June, Gurinovich claimed that Hamster Kombat was unrelated to Arenum. He stated that while Arenum's team contributed to the game’s development, the project was independent.

AD.RU’s CEO, Anton Gorshkov, has criticized Gurinovich’s actions. Gorshkov notes that AD.RU was heavily involved in the project, not just financially but also through development support. AD.RU plans to pursue legal action to protect its interests.

The controversy extends to the marketing sphere as well. Nikita Anufriev, a marketing director for Hamster Kombat, has publicly criticized Gurinovich. Anufriev, who helped secure investments and promote the game, has expressed disappointment over the lack of recognition and financial return for early contributors.
