**News Flash: Bitcoin Fog Founder Fights Lengthy Sentence**

Roman Sterlingov, founder of the cryptocurrency mixer Bitcoin Fog, is pushing back against a proposed 20-30 year prison sentence for money laundering. His lawyers argue that such a lengthy term is "unwarranted" compared to similar cases. Sterlingov was convicted in March for operating Bitcoin Fog, which allegedly laundered $400 million in Bitcoin linked to illicit activities.

His defense claims the evidence is mostly circumstantial, and Sterlingov was more of an aider than the main operator. The court will hear further arguments on asset forfeiture, including 1,354 BTC, on August 21.
