Bitfinex explores an integration with Komainu Connect, thanks also to the technology of Ledger, to offer a remote crypto custody solution that guarantees security and operational continuity to institutional investors.

Let’s see all the details below.

Bitfinex joins forces with Ledger for secure and smooth crypto trading

As anticipated, Bitfinex, one of the most advanced platforms for trading digital assets, has announced a strategic collaboration with Komainu Connect, a regulated custodian of digital assets, to explore a new integration.

This synergy aims to offer institutional investors the possibility to leverage the deep liquidity and advanced trading functionalities of Bitfinex, while maintaining the security of their assets in a separate and regulated custody environment.

This collaboration leverages Ledger Tradelink technology, developed by Ledger Enterprise, which allows institutional clients to trade through the Bitfinex platform without frequent on-chain asset transfers.

Thanks to this integration, institutions will be able to operate on one of the most liquid markets for crypto-asset, keeping their assets segregated with a regulated custodian.

The proposed solution represents the latest innovation from Bitfinex in the field of remote custody, following similar agreements already established with other custody partners, which have achieved great success among institutional clients.

Traders with assets on Komainu Connect and a verified account on Bitfinex will be able to allocate a portion of their custodied assets for trading by activating a lock at Komainu.

Simultaneously, Komainu Connect will notify Bitfinex through an API connection. Once the request is approved, Bitfinex will grant the trader a balance equivalent to the locked amount, thus allowing smooth trading with the designated assets.
