Binance Futures has launched Credits Trading Mode on its trading platform to offer users in eligible regions a new option to directly deposit supported crypto assets such as BTC, ETH and BNB as collateral for USDⓈ-margined futures. Binance Futures Credits Trading Mode runs with the Cross Margin and Multi-Asset Mode by default.

How does Binance Futures Credits Trading Mode work?

Under Binance Futures Credits Trading Mode, all USDT or USDC contracts’ PNL, margin and fees will be displayed as Credits labeled BNFCR.
Please note, Binance Futures Credits Trading Mode is currently only available for USDⓈ-M contracts. When using this mode, only BTC, ETH, and BNB can be used to transfer between Futures Wallets and other wallets. BNFCR cannot be withdrawn, but can be swapped to BTC, ETH, or BNB first before making the withdrawal.

Calculations of margin, balance, and PNL in Binance Credits

By default, the asset value will be displayed in BNFCR based on USD value.
For example, User A has the following assets in their Futures Wallet:
AssetsAmountsPrice (USD)
USDT1,0001
BTC0.360,000
BNB12600
The balance valued in Binance Credits would be:
1,000 + 0.3 * 60,000 + 12 * 600 = 26,200 BNFCR
If User A opened a position (The fee rate is 0.05%):
ContractSideEntry PriceSize(coin)Mark Price
BTCUSDT perpetualLong58,0000.160,000
The trading fee would be = 58,000 * 0.1 * 0.05% = 2.9 BNFCR
The unrealized PNL would be = (60,000 - 58,000 ) * 0.1 = 200 BNFCR
The Margin Balance would be = 26,200 + 200 = 26,400 BNFCR
