Binance turns six on July 14! To prepare for the big day, some of our Angels took a moment to reflect on the exciting events we’ve held over the years.
If you’ve been part of the Binance community, you’re likely familiar with our iconic anniversary celebrations — from meetups across the world to last year’s epic in-person event set against the magnificent backdrop of Paris. And even at the height of the pandemic, we still found a way to celebrate with Binancians virtually.
With our sixth anniversary right around the corner, we asked Binance Angels — our community ambassadors some of whom have been around since day one — to share their favorite Binance anniversary memories. Here’s what they had to say.
Amirah — A Rainy Celebration
Back in 2019, we organized an anniversary meetup in the Philippines. I vividly recall that day: the rain was pouring, and the weather forecast had suddenly dropped the news that a typhoon had been fast approaching.
However, that didn't stop people from coming. There were over 100 attendees in total, including all the Binance Filipino Angels at the time. We prepared a special birthday menu for the meetup that featured spaghetti, corn dogs, ice cream, and much more. Throughout the event, we exchanged knowledge, had a lot of fun, and — of course — enjoyed the delicious food!
To this day, this particular meetup stands out as one of my most cherished experiences among all the Binance meetups we've organized.
KennyBinance — Spark of Inspiration
I attended Binance's 3rd anniversary in July 2020. This was during the pandemic, so the event was held virtually. All the activities were equally insightful, educational, and engaging. The anniversary event provided the perfect platform for people to learn more about Binance, including its company values and vision for the future of the crypto industry.
One of the highlights for me was a chat session between CZ, the CEO of Binance, and Akon, a famous music artist. Their discussion was very inspiring for me personally.
ElVaulto — Binancian Cake
I’ve celebrated all the anniversaries in some way, but the most memorable one was year four — which also happened to be the year I got married.
I hadn’t even been in the program for half a year by the time of the anniversary event. I remember making an awesome Binance-themed cake for the Angels team and the community to check out online!
Chibi — Parisian Party
I was nominated for Angel of the Year and Content Artist for Binance’s fifth anniversary. During the event, I helped out with the minigames, including a dice game where participants had to roll the number five. You’d be surprised how hard it is to roll a five — everyone was struggling!
I spoke to this one person from Spain who had tried eight times, and he still didn’t get it. I later found out he was the new general director for Iberia (Spain and Portugal). Poor Javier — eight times!
JuanJuk — Sense of Belonging
I’ve been a Binance Angel since 2020. While I’ve always attended Binance anniversary events online, it’s never diminished my sense of belonging to the community during the celebration.
Thanks to the magic of technology, I’m able to connect with fellow Angels virtually. Through our online meetings, we laugh, revisit memories, and build connections as if we were side by side.
For Binance’s fifth anniversary, I organized a joyous party with my family, honoring and commemorating five years of Binance. Being an Angel fills me with immense pride. I am grateful to be part of a community of like-minded individuals who play such a huge role in Binance’s success.
